California High School Softball - Los Altos can't hold off Burlingame
March 2, 2012: Burlingame, CA 94010 The Burlingame Panthers softball team scored 5 points and limited the visiting Los Altos Eagles to 4 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Burlingame improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Panthers host Notre Dame (Belmont, CA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 6. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 1-3. Notre Dame lost 10-2 in their recent non-league game against Soquel (Soquel, CA)
In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 6. Los Altos will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Firebirds come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA).
Game Summary
Team defense was not as solid as in the Lincoln game. 3 errors lead to three runs which lead to a 5-4 lose. Jasmine Pedroza and Ali Goldberg hit well both going 2 for 4. Jasmine also had a double. Tianna Vasquez was 1 for 3 with a triple. The team only had 6 hits and unfortunately had 3 errors
