California High School Basketball - George Washington Prep knocked off by Santa Clarita Christian
January 12, 2019: Canyon Country, CA 91351 The Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting George Washington Prep Generals to 32 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lancaster Baptist for a Heritage contest on Monday, January 14. Santa Clarita Christian will battle a Eagles team coming off a 79-28 league loss to Trinity Classical Academy (Valencia, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-12.
The Generals (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against King/Drew (Los Angeles, CA). The Golden Eagles enter the Imperial contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, King/Drew was defeated by Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, CA), 55-52, in a non-league contest.
