Maryland High School Basketball - Stone crushes McDonough
January 18, 2019: Waldorf, MD 20601 Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), 70-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Stone upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Cougars host North Point (Waldorf, MD) to play the Eagles in a Southern Maryland bout on Wednesday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-2. North Point won 81-45 in their recent league bout against La Plata (La Plata, MD)
Next up, the Rams play the St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland bout, on Wednesday, January 23. McDonough will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 69-36 non-league win over Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD).
