October 16, 2009: Albany, TX 76430 In Friday's league match, the host Albany Lions football squad scored a big 42-0 victory over the Baird Bears.
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Winters Blizzards (Winters, TX) in a 1A Region II District 12 match, on Friday, October 23. Albany will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Blizzards enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 28-7 league loss to Bronte (Bronte, TX).
The Bears (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Miles (Miles, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 1A Region II District 12 match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Miles was crushed by Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX), 28-27, in a league match.
