New York High School Basketball - Canisius overwhelms Cardinal O'Hara
February 5, 2009: Buffalo, NY 14209 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY) and the visiting Cardinal O'Hara Hawks (Tonawanda, NY), saw Canisius's basketball squad trounce Cardinal O'Hara by a score of 72-50.
With the victory, Canisius improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Sweet Home (Amherst, NY) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 7. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 14-1. Sweet Home won 73-54 in their recent league challenge against Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY)
Next up, the Hawks play the St. Francis Red Raiders (Athol Springs, NY) in a Monsignor Martin challenge, on Tuesday, February 10. Cardinal O'Hara will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 67-59 league win over St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute (Kenmore, NY).
