In Friday's league game, the host Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles baseball team scored a tight 5-2 victory over the Sherwood Warriors.

The Screamin' Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Northwest (Germantown, MD). The Jaguars go into the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Northwest tipped Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD), 13-8, in a non-league game.

The Screaming Eagles extended an early 1-0 lead with a 2-run fourth inning to lead 4-0. After the Warriors cut the deficit in half, The Eagles scored an insurance run to go up, 5-2. Seneca Valley held off the visitors in the last two tension-packed innings to earn a well-deserved win over an excellent program.
