Ohio High School Basketball - Mentor nips Shaker Heights
December 19, 2014: Shaker Heights, OH 44120 Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shaker Heights Red Raiders (Shaker Heights, OH), 60-58 in a league bout.
With the win, Mentor upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cardinals host Stow-Munroe Falls (Stow, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 22. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Stow-Munroe Falls lost 41-31 in their recent league bout against Hudson (Hudson, OH)
Next up, the Red Raiders play the St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, December 21. Shaker Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Gray Bees enter the game with a 6-1 record after their 63-57 non-league loss to St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH).
