Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Montgomery Vikings (Santa Rosa, CA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 20-5 record.

With the loss, Montgomery falls to 14-11 on the campaign.

Drew Jones had a game for the ages on offense and defense. Jones went 4 for 4, including a double, scored 2 runs, and had 3 RBIs to lead the Hornets to a 12-2 victory over the Montgomery Vikings.
