South Carolina High School Football - Richland Northeast drops to Irmo
October 30, 2009: Columbia, SC 29212 In Friday's league game, the Irmo Yellowjackets (Columbia, SC) football team knocked off the visiting Richland Northeast Cavaliers (Columbia, SC), by a score of 14-6.
The Yellowjackets (9-1) will now prepare for their game against Dutch Fork (Irmo, SC). The Silver Foxes come into the AAAA Region V game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, Dutch Fork was dropped by Aiken (Aiken, SC), 35-20, in a league game.
The Cavaliers now sport a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Orangeburg-Wilkinson for a AAAA Region V game on Friday, November 6. Richland Northeast will battle a Bruins team coming off a 57-20 league loss to White Knoll (Lexington, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 2-8.
