Oregon High School Basketball - Redmond can't hold off South Salem
January 15, 2010: Salem, OR 97302 The South Salem Saxons basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Redmond Panthers to 49 in the Saxons league triumph on Friday.
The Saxons now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Salem for a 6A Central Valley contest on Tuesday, January 19. South Salem will meet a Titans team coming off a 76-40 league win over North Salem (Salem, OR). The Titans record now stands at 9-3.
The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against McKay (Salem, OR). The Scots enter the 6A Central Valley contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, McKay was nudged by Sprague (Salem, OR), 48-23, in a league contest.
