October 3, 2009: Parma, MI 49269 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Western Panthers (Parma, MI) and the visiting Bullock Creek Lancers (Midland, MI), saw Western's volleyball squad beat Bullock Creek by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Western upgrades its record to 6-11 on the year. The Panthers host Lansing Christian (Lansing, MI) to play the Pilgrims in a Southern Michigan bout on Tuesday, October 6. The Pilgrims go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Lansing Christian lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against Leslie (Leslie, MI)
The Lancers now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Ovid-Elsie for a Tri-Valley - Central bout on Wednesday, October 7. Bullock Creek will play a Marauders squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Swan Valley (Saginaw, MI). The Marauders record now stands at 0-6.
