Illinois High School Volleyball - Central over St. Anthony
September 13, 2014: Effingham, IL 62401 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) and the host St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL), saw Central's volleyball squad beat St. Anthony by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Central upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Maroons travel to Southeast (Springfield, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-9. Southeast lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)
The Bulldogs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Charleston for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. St. Anthony will play a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 3-0.
