The Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) basketball felled the visiting Interlake Saints (Bellevue, WA), 57-39 in Monday's league test.

The Islanders (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Sammamish (Bellevue, WA). The Totems go into the 3A KingCo test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Sammamish went down by Interlake (Bellevue, WA), 51-14, in a league test.

The Saints now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Si for a 3A KingCo test on Wednesday, January 14. Interlake will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-41 non-league loss to Inglemoor (Kenmore, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-8.
