The Ragland Purple Devils basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Gaston Bulldogs to 45 in the Purple Devils league triumph on Thursday.

The Purple Devils now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coosa Christian for a 1A Area 11 contest on Friday, January 7. Ragland will confront a Conquerors team coming off a 62-32 non-league loss to Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Conquerors record now stands at 2-9.

The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Bernard Prep (Cullman, AL). The Saints enter the 1A Area 11 contest with a 0-3 record.
