Florida High School Basketball - Lake Howell holds off Edgewater
January 25, 2010: Orlando, FL 32804 Lake Howell Silver Hawks (Winter Park, FL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Edgewater Fightin' Eagles (Orlando, FL), 67-63 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Lake Howell upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Silver Hawks host Lake Mary (Lake Mary, FL) to play the Rams in a 6A District 3 bout on Wednesday, January 27. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 8-10. Lake Mary lost 60-57 in their recent league bout against Oviedo (Oviedo, FL)
Next up, the Fightin' Eagles play the Apopka Blue Darters (Apopka, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 27. Edgewater will attempt to upgrade on its 18-3 season record. The Blue Darters come into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 78-60 non-league win over South Lake (Groveland, FL).
