Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Severn Admirals (Severna Park, MD) and the host Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA), saw Severn's basketball squad knock off Bishop O'Connell by a score of 67-51.

With the victory, Severn improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Admirals host St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) to battle the Panthers in a IAAM A challenge on Wednesday, January 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Knights battle the St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Bishop O'Connell will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 62-59 non-league win over Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD).
