Oregon High School Volleyball - Sweet Home can't hold off Corbett
October 10, 2009: Corbett, OR 97019 In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Corbett Cardinals volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Sweet Home Huskies.
The Cardinals (17-3) will now prepare for their battle against Riverdale (Portland, OR). The Mavericks come into the 2A Northwest battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Riverdale was edged by De La Salle North Catholic (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Huskies clash with the Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR) in a 4A Val-Co battle, on Thursday, October 15. Sweet Home will attempt to advance on its 3-16 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 4-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to Newport (Newport, OR).
