Game Summary
Bend (4-1) received enormous offensive outpourings from senior Kenzi Boehme and junior Ally McConnell. Boehme knocked down four 3-pointers, all in the first half, and McConnell scored all 12 of her team's points in the third quarter, including making all 10 of her free-throw attempts.
McConnell, who finished with 21 points, rebounded her own shot and scored with 3:35 left to give Bend a 40-39 lead in the suspenseful fourth. South responded with Mejia's free throws, a short jumper by Picknell, and a sensational fastbreak layup by Kylie Towry, who finished with nine points. Mejia initiated the quick score with a long outlet pass to Hanna Curtius, who then fed the guard.
