California High School Baseball - Scotts Valley loses to Moreau Catholic
April 4, 2012: Hayward, CA 94544 In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Moreau Catholic Mariners baseball team scored a tight 7-0 victory over the Scotts Valley Falcons.
The Mariners (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Atwater (Atwater, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league match with a 7-8 record. In their last match, Atwater edged Sacramento (Sacramento, CA), 14-4, in a non-league match.
The Falcons (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Minarets (O'Neals, CA). The Mustangs go into the non-league match with a 7-11 record. In their last match, Minarets was overwhelmed by Sierra (Tollhouse, CA), 16-5, in a non-league match.
Game Summary
Th Mariners win game 3 of the Tournment vs Scotts Valley on an impressive performance by Last Years Ace Aaron Acosta who was 8 and 2. This is the Mariners second straight shutout and they again played error free baseball. They were led offensively by Richard L'heureux and Marciano Reichel who both went 2 for 3 at the plate. Aaron Acosta was also 2 for 2.The Mariner Bats are finally coming to life which is a welcomed sight. The Mariners advance to the Championship Game where they will again face
A scrappy Atwater Team. The game is set for a 6pm show down. Both teams are playing well and it should be a very good ball game.
