Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Lakeview Centennial Patriots (Garland, TX), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Montwood upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Rams travel to Eastwood (El Paso, TX) to battle the Troopers in a 5A Region I District 1 test on Tuesday, March 10. The Troopers come into the test with a record of 4-3. Eastwood won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Douglas (Douglas, AZ)

With the defeat, Lakeview Centennial falls to 6-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX) to battle the Rangers in a 5A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, March 10. The Rangers come into the test with a record of 1-5. Naaman Forest lost 9-3 in their recent non-league test against Smith (Carrollton, TX)
