Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX), 45-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Boyd upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Broncos travel to Liberty (Frisco, TX) to play the Redhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 4. The Redhawks go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Liberty won 52-37 in their recent non-league bout against Allen (Allen, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 4. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Skeeters go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 61-48 non-league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX).
