December 10, 2010: New Castle, PA 16101 The West Middlesex Big Reds basketball team (West Middlesex, PA), was nudged 53-50 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA)
The Wildcats now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Neshannock for a WPIAL AA 2 battle on Saturday, December 11. Shenango will meet a Lancers team coming off a 77-44 non-league win over Union Area (New Castle, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 2-0.
The Big Reds (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Union (Rimersburg, PA). The Knights/Damsels come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Union was nudged by Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA), 70-66, in a non-league battle.
