Coming up next, the Falcons battle the Mission Hills Grizzlies (San Marcos, CA) in a Avocado outing, on Tuesday, May 11. Torrey Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 20-4 season record. The Grizzlies enter the outing with a 15-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA).

Game Summary
The Torrey Pines Falcons improved to 20-4-2 on the season and 6-0 in Avocado League play with a 3-0 home victory over Escondido last Friday afternoon. Torrey Pines who went 24-7 last season has recorded back to back 20 win seasons for the 1st time in school history. The 20 wins this season was only the 4th time in the schools 36 year history that the softball team has produced a 20 win season. Sophomore left handed pitcher, Lauren Hynes improved to 6-0 on the year by throwing a complete game, 6 hit, shut out for the Falcons. Senior, Kristin Filicia (Fairfield University) led the Torrey Pines at the plate, going 2-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Filicia has now tied the school record for runs scored in a season with 32. Kelley Burr went 1-2 with a double for the winners who play at Mission Hills on Tuesday May 11th at 4:30 P.M. in Avocado League play.
