Texas High School Basketball - Lincoln topped by Yates
December 29, 2011: Houston, TX 77004 The Yates Lions basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Lincoln Cardinals to 56 in the Lions non-league victory on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Oswego for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Yates will meet a Lakers team coming off a 68-61 non-league win over Riverside (Reserve, LA). The Lakers record now stands at 7-1.
The Cardinals (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside (Reserve, LA). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Riverside was defeated by Lake Oswego (Lake Oswego, OR), 68-61, in a non-league contest.
