October 23, 2009: Weirton, WV 26062 The Weir Red Riders football team (Weirton, WV), was ripped 42-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV)
The Bruins (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshall (Glen Dale, WV). The Monarchs come into the Freelance challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Marshall was ripped by Morgantown (Morgantown, WV), 48-26, in a non-league challenge.
The Red Riders now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckeye Local for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 30. Weir will meet a Panthers team coming off a 35-15 non-league win over Edison (Richmond, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 7-2.
