New Jersey High School Basketball - Verona prevails Livingston
January 31, 2012: Verona, NJ 07043 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ), 63-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Verona upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Hillbillies travel to Arts (Newark, NJ) to encounter the Jaguars in a Super Essex - Independence bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Arts won 67-30 in their recent non-league bout against McNair Academy (Jersey City, NJ)
Next up, the Lancers encounter the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars (Montclair, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Livingston will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 63-62 league loss to Weequahic (Newark, NJ).
