In Friday's non-league game, the Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) football team knocked off the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX), by a score of 28-20.

The Gobblers (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Giddings (Giddings, TX). The Buffaloes come into the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Giddings toppled Sealy (Sealy, TX), 35-28, in a non-league game.
