December 30, 2009: Valley, NE 68064 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Douglas County West Falcon (Valley, NE) and the visiting Tekamah-Herman Tigers (Tekamah, NE), saw Douglas County West's basketball squad hold off Tekamah-Herman by a score of 46-45.
With the victory, Douglas County West improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Falcon travel to Logan View (Hooper, NE) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 5. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Logan View lost 46-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Elmwood-Murdock (Murdock, NE)
Next up, the Tigers battle the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars (Lyons, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 8. Tekamah-Herman will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 49-40 league loss to Bancroft-Rosalie (Bancroft, NE).
