East Islip Redmen (Islip Terrace, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds (Dix Hills, NY), 67-52 in a league bout.

With the win, East Islip upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Redmen travel to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO) to encounter the Rangers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 17. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Lewis-Palmer won 57-42 in their recent non-league bout against Evergreen (Evergreen, CO)

Next up, the Thunderbirds encounter the Huntington Blue Devils (Huntington, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 19. Half Hollow Hills East will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 73-39 league loss to Harborfields (Greenlawn, NY).
