The Falcons now sport a 21-4 record. They take the field next when they host Fallbrook for a Avocado match on Thursday, May 13. Torrey Pines will face a Warriors squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-7.

Game Summary
The Torrey Pines Falcons moved one win away from clinching at least a tie for the Avocado league title wtih a 6-0 win at Mission Hills yesterday. Sensational Frteshmen pitcher Rachel Nasland threw a complete game no-hitter, striking out 16 Mission Hills batters and walking one to improve to 11-2 on the season. Nasland came within one pitch of throwing a perfect game as she issued a 1st inning walk on a 3-2 pitch to Brook Huddleson. The game was tied 0-0 heading into the 7th inning when the Falcons erupted for 6 runs. Lauren Filicia singled and Mary Lee walked to open the inning. Zehna Gilliam then beat out a 2 strike bunt to load the bases before Senior catcher Kelley Burr lined a single to right field to break the scoreless tie. Pinch hitter Taylor Lee then doubled to score 2 runs for TP. Senior Kristen Filicia singled in a run before Sophomore Lauren Hynes doubled home the final 2 Falcon Runs. Torrey Pines improves to 21-4-2 overall and 7-0 in Avocado League play.
