The Weslaco Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Mercedes Tigers to 46 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo for a non-league contest on Friday, November 21.

The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX). The Mules enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Alamo Heights crushed Harlandale (San Antonio, TX), 59-57, in a non-league match.
