Charleston Bluejays (Charleston, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Scott County Central Braves (Sikeston, MO), 99-86 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Charleston upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Vienna (Vienna, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Vienna lost 57-49 in their recent league challenge against Eldorado (Eldorado, IL)

Next up, the Braves battle the Sturgeon Bulldogs (Sturgeon, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Scott County Central will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record.
