Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ), 81-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Pointe upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Pride host Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to play the Jaguars in a 5A East Valley bout on Tuesday, February 2. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Desert Ridge won 49-48 in their recent league bout against Skyline (Mesa, AZ)

Next up, the Coyotes play the Tolleson Wolverines (Tolleson, AZ) in a 5A Desert West bout, on Tuesday, February 2. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 55-48 league win over Ironwood (Glendale, AZ).
