Game Summary
Rams Prevail Over Mavs
The Diamond Mavericks took the field for our fourth game in less than 38 hours this morning facing off against Coach Paul's alma mater- the Waltrip Rams in the 9am game at St. Pius. Christian Segner started on the mound and threw the ball well. Lee Lazear came in relief and also threw well. However, the Mavs could not execute well enough on defense and errors and miscues led to 4 Ram runs and turned out to be the difference in the game. Waltrip wins 4-3. St. John's hit the ball hard today, but often times right at the opponent. It was a tall task with a tired and banged up team, but we were really hoping to have a chance to play two games today; however, it did not work out this time. Thanks to all of the parents for their support during the tournament.
Next up.... a very strong St. Pius team at home on Tuesday night. See you at the field.
