Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) and the host Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), saw South Aiken's basketball squad hold off Aiken by a tally of 50-43.

With the victory, South Aiken improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds travel to Greenbrier (Evans, GA) to confront the Wolfpack in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 15. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Fighting Green Hornets confront the Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Aiken will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 52-50 non-league loss to Porter-Gaud (Charleston, SC).
