September 23, 2011: Laurel, MS 39443 The South Jones Braves football team (Ellisville, MS), was beaten 23-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS)
The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Stone (Wiggins, MS). The Tomcats come into the 5A Region 3 challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Stone was beaten by McComb (McComb, MS), 13-10, in a league challenge.
The Braves now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pearl for a 5A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 30. South Jones will meet a Pirates team coming off a 30-21 league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 3-2.
