September 17, 2005: Brookhaven, NY 11719 In Saturday's league game, the host Bellport Clippers football team scored a good 26-14 win over the East Islip Redmen.
The Clippers now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Newfield for a Section 11 Division II game on Saturday, October 1. Bellport will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 38-21 league win over Whitman (Selden, NY). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, East Islip falls to 0-1 on the season. The Redmen host Centereach (Centereach, NY) to meet the Cougars in a Section 11 Division II game on Saturday, October 1. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 1-0. Centereach won 27-24 in their recent league game against North Babylon (North Babylon, NY)
