Texas High School Basketball - Mineral Wells can't hold off Mexia
December 2, 2010: Mineral Wells, TX 76067 The Mexia Black Cats basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Mineral Wells Rams to 64 in the Black Cats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Black Cats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Van Alstyne for a non-league match on Friday, December 3. Mexia will confront a Panthers team coming off a 52-50 non-league loss to Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Mineral Wells moves to 2-3 on the year. The Rams host Glen Rose (Glen Rose, TX) to confront the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 1-4. Glen Rose lost 44-32 in their recent non-league match against Princeton (Princeton, TX)
