The Fort Myers Green Wave basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Island Coast Gators to 27 in the Green Wave non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Green Wave now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Lake for a 4A District 11 contest on Wednesday, January 27. Fort Myers will meet a Panthers team coming off a 72-48 non-league loss to Key West (Key West, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 5-15.

The Gators (7-15) will now prepare for their contest against North Fort Myers (North Fort Myers, FL). The Red Knights enter the non-league contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, North Fort Myers was routed by Cape Coral (Cape Coral, FL), 52-45, in a league contest.
