North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain overwhelmed by Franklin
January 28, 2010: Franklin, NC 28734 The Smoky Mountain Mustangs basketball team (Sylva, NC), was overwhelmed 81-28 in Thursday's league battle with the host Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC)
The Panthers now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Henderson for a 3A/2A Conference 18 battle on Tuesday, February 2. Franklin will meet a Knights team coming off a 50-45 league loss to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 6-6.
The Mustangs (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Eagles come into the 3A/2A Conference 18 battle with a 2-10 record.
