January 29, 2011: Bonner Springs, KS 66012 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Bonner Springs Braves (Bonner Springs, KS) and the visiting St. Marys Bears (St. Marys, KS), saw Bonner Springs's basketball squad hold off St. Marys by a score of 56-55.
With the victory, Bonner Springs improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Braves host Piper (Kansas City, KS) to battle the Pirates in a Kaw Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 1. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Piper won 29-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Kansas City Christian Academy (Prairie Village, KS)
Next up, the Bears battle the Rossville Bulldogs (Rossville, KS) in a Mid-East challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. St. Marys will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 48-41 non-league loss to Santa Fe Trail (Carbondale, KS).
