The Edinburg Bobcats baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the host Vela Sabercats to 3 in the Bobcats league victory on Friday.

The Bobcats (7-6) will now prepare for their match against Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Rattlers go into the 5A Region IV District 30 match with a 13-1 record. In their last match, Sharyland nudged Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 11-1, in a league bout.

Next, the Sabercats face the Donna Redskins (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout, on Saturday, March 9. Vela will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Redskins enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 9-8 league loss to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX).
