Fairfax Rebels (Fairfax, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad smash the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), 55-33 in a league game.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Madison Warhawks (Vienna, VA) in a AAA Liberty game, on Tuesday, January 17. Fairfax will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record. The Warhawks enter the game with a 12-3 record after their 62-45 league win over South Lakes (Reston, VA).

With the defeat, McLean moves to 6-7 on the year. The Highlanders host Langley (McLean, VA) to face the Saxons in a AAA Liberty game on Tuesday, January 17. The Saxons enter the game with a record of 5-10. Langley won 43-32 in their recent league game against Marshall (Falls Church, VA)
