The Highlands Bluebirds topped the host Newport Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bluebirds now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boone County for a non-league test on Thursday, August 11. Highlands will confront a Rebels team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Walton-Verona (Walton, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 1-0.

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Silver Grove (Silver Grove, KY). The Big Trains go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Silver Grove beat Covington Latin (Covington, KY), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
