The Valley Vikings football team (New Kensington, PA), was beaten 34-19 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Kittanning Wildcats (Kittanning, PA)

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Indians come into the WPIAL AA Allegheny challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Shady Side Academy achieved victory over West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA), 28-13, in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Highlands for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 17. Valley will meet a Golden Rams team coming off a 55-7 non-league win over Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Golden Rams record now stands at 7-0.
