The Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) basketball crushed the host Bessemer City Yellowjackets (Bessemer City, NC), 60-39 in Friday's league test.

The (3-3) will now prepare for their test against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rebels go into the 2A/1A Southern Piedmont test with a 0-1 record.

The Yellowjackets now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host East Lincoln for a 2A/1A Southern Piedmont test on Tuesday, December 20. Bessemer City will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 67-57 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-4.
