December 22, 2010: Los Angeles, CA 90011 In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting South Gate Rams basketball team scored a decisive 86-48 triumph over the Jefferson Democrats.
In their next game, the Rams confront the Banning Pilots (Wilmington, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 23. South Gate will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record.
With the defeat, Jefferson moves to 0-1 on the year. The Democrats host Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA) to confront the Romans in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 11. The Romans enter the match with a record of 0-0.
First Quarter
The South Gate Rams returned to form holding Jefferson to under 10 points, while the offense scored 21.
Second Quarter
South Gate allowed 13 points while scoring 16 as the defense committed multiple fouls.
Third Quarter
The Rams offense doubled the output of Jefferson as the offense scored 32 points which surpassed a pre season high.
Fourth Quarter
South Gate Rams finished the game with 17 points to set a new game high total of 86, the reserves created and converted on turnovers and second chance opportunities giving the starters much needed rest.
