Maryland High School Basketball - DeMatha trounces Chavez
December 29, 2012: Hyattsville, MD 20781 The DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) basketball crushed the visiting Chavez (Washington, DC), 92-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Stags (4-3) will now prepare for their test against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets go into the Washington Catholic test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, St. John's walloped Lely (Naples, FL), 77-35, in a non-league test.
The now own a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montrose Christian for a non-league test on Thursday, January 3. Chavez will clash with a squad coming off a 65-48 non-league loss to Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA). The record now stands at 8-2.
