California High School Basketball - Ventura overwhelms Valencia

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) and the visiting Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA), saw Ventura's basketball squad trounce Valencia by a score of 65-37.

With the victory, Ventura improves its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA) to play the Royals in a Channel challenge on Thursday, January 21. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 10-10.

Next up, the Vikings play the Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA) in a Foothill challenge, on Tuesday, January 19. Valencia will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a 0-18 record after their 70-19 league loss to Saugus (Saugus, CA).
