In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mountain Brook Spartans football squad scored a good 23-14 victory over the Hillcrest Patriots.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL) in a non-league test, on Friday, November 16. Mountain Brook will attempt to improve on its 10-1 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 9-3 record after their 35-30 non-league win over Gadsden City (Gadsden, AL).

With the loss, Hillcrest drops to 6-5 on the campaign.
